LHP nominated for Best Recruitment Campaign

Following on from the fantastic news that we have been nominated for the Best Older Persons’ Landlord at the Affordable Housing Awards, we are now delighted to announce that we have also been short-listed for the Best Recruitment Campaign award! This is fantastic recognition of the hard work and dedication of our Talent team.

Our recruitment campaigns focus on putting candidates at the heart of everything we do. We have introduced several new initiatives. These include a “Telephone first” approach. We ask candidates for convenient times for interviews and provide them with all the information they need to be prepared. We have also developed a CV selection template. This helps hiring managers assess applications against the job specification in a fair and objective way.

In addition, we have anonymised applications for senior leadership teams and Board members to remove unconscious bias. We have also attended lots of recruitment events. Our aim has been getting local Lincolnshire talent back into work and school & college leavers looking to find a career. We have also launched an internal apprenticeship training programme.

The results of our recruitment campaigns have been impressive. In 2021-2022, 54% of our positions were recruited through agencies. In 2022-2023, this has fallen to just 8%. Internal recruitment has increased from 22% to 28% and recruitment through word of mouth has increased from 7% to 26%.

We are very proud of our Talent Team for being short-listed for this award. They have had such a positive impact on our business. Our commitment is to continue to innovate and improve our recruitment process so that we can attract and retain the best talent in the industry.

What does this recruitment approach mean for LHP ?

Our recruitment means that we are now able to attract and retain more talented and skilled employees. This will benefit our business in several ways. For example, it will mean that we are able to provide a better service to our customers, deliver more innovative products and services, and grow our business more effectively.

It is also important to note that our recruitment campaigns focus on creating a more inclusive and diverse workplace. A diverse workforce is essential to our success, and we want a workplace where everyone feels welcome and valued.

We are grateful for the hard work and dedication of our Talent team, and we are excited to see what the future holds for our recruitment campaign.
