What is Extra Care Housing? Mayfields, Boston
Our Extra Care Housing consists of self-contained flats where you have your own tenancy agreement. As well as the rent there are charges which cover the maintenance of the communal areas, the provision of emergency alarms throughout the building and the communal facilities, which include a cinema room, lounges, laundry, a small shop, restaurant, and a garden. In addition, there are both care and catering staff on site as well as our staff.
Extra Care Housing is accommodation that provides you with a key to your own front door, it has been purpose built to meet as large a variety of physical. Each person’s physical abilities are very different, and it would be difficult to ensure that every detail within the accommodation has been accounted for. However, with equipment, or if adaptations are required, then a referral to the Adult Social Care Occupational Therapy Team can be made to gain further advice and support with investigating this with you.
Extra Care Housing is rented accommodation that you and the person you live with are responsible for. You will need to sign a tenancy agreement and there is a service charge to pay, which covers the upkeep of the grounds and communal areas etc. of the scheme.
What do you do if you or a person you know is interested in applying for Mayfields?
We would encourage you to contact the Extra Care Coordinator or their team. They can arrange for a visit from you, and your relatives to show you around the scheme, and maybe have lunch in our restaurant. Please phone our Customer Contact Centre on 0345 604 1472 and ask to be put through to Mayfields.
Alternatively, ask for our Lettings Team or email Lettings@lincolnshirehp.com to express your interest in applying for Mayfields. The Lettings Officer will establish with the person if an Adult Care Assessment is needed and make arrangements to look around Mayfields.
