Picnic in the Park 25 June 2019 Over 100 residents enjoyed a Picnic in the Park.

Over 100 residents on the Nunsthorpe estate in Grimsby enjoyed a Picnic in the Park on Thursday 20 June, in conjunction with our housing team, Centre4 and Oasis Hub South Grimsby.

The rain stayed away, allowing everyone to enjoy a full afternoon of activities at Centre4 on Wooton Road in Nunsthorpe.

Our housing team were on hand to discuss any concerns tenants may have, speak to potential LHP customers, and promote the different services that we offer.

The afternoon began with sandwich making in the Community Shop at Centre4, before a picnic was held in the main hall at the Wooton Road site.

Younger participants then took to the field next to Centre4 to take part in sporting activities, which included rounders, volleyball and football.

James Todd, our Area Housing Manager said:

“It is important for us to attend these events so that people from a young age are aware of the range of services we provide for the local community.

“We would encourage any of our tenants that are interested in supporting their local community and gaining valuable skills to consider volunteering at future events.”

Michelle Donner, Hub Coordinator at Oasis Hub South Grimsby said:

“A lot of parents whose children attend both Oasis Academy and Centre4 are tenants of Lincolnshire Housing Partnership, so it is vital for us to make those connections and show the community that we are all working together to provide better services and experiences for everyone.”

Further Picnic in the Park events will be held on Tuesday 25 and Thursday 27 June.
