How the National Lockdown will affect our services
You may be aware that from Thursday 5 November 2020, the government’s guidance around the Coronavirus outbreak changes once again and we enter a period of national lockdown.
During this time we will continue to run many of our services as usual, due to having thorough Risk Assessments and wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Services that are unaffected by this lockdown include:
Repairs and Maintenance in customer's homes - this will continue, with some changes for customers who are shielding, part of the NHS Track and Trace programme or displaying COVID-19 symptoms (please see below)
Safety checks in customer's homes - these will continue, with some changes for customers who are shielding, part of the NHS Track and Trace programme or displaying COVID-19 symptoms (please see below)
Working on empty properties to provide more homes – this will continue
Lettings / moving people into their homes – this will continue
Please remember, we have a Money Support Service that can offer advice around financial matters and the different ways you can pay your rent.
We will be making the following changes to our services to comply with the latest guidance, so that we can protect our staff and customers.
Warden Service: Support will be given remotely via telephone calls
Repairs: if anyone in the household is displaying COVID-19 symptoms or are part of the NHS Track and Trace programme then an engineer will be in touch with them following the end of their isolation period and will then schedule the repair with them. If the customer falls into the Clinically Extremely Vulnerable category, then an engineer will be in touch with by 8pm on Monday 7 December, following the end of lockdown and the shielding period.
Sheltered schemes: The communal lounges and guest rooms will be closed until further notice
Extra Care schemes: Communal areas will be closed; meals will be delivered to residents’ rooms and we will be closing the restaurant temporarily. In line with government guidelines, LHP are supporting families to meet with their loved ones in our Extra Care Scheme at Mayfield’s in Boston during this period of lockdown.
Outdoor visits with one other person - visitors can meet outside with a loved one, in the rear garden area which can be accessed without anyone going through the main scheme building
A ground floor facility will be available to support a visit through the window, this will ensure that the visitor doesn’t need to enter the scheme and the resident is socially distanced
All visits must be booked in advance, residents can do this by visiting the reception at Mayfield’s, or by calling 07725481683 between 9am and 2pm, Monday – Sunday.
