LHP at the Lincolnshire show 24 June 2019 Our team worked alongside partner agencies at the show.

Our Business Development Team attended the Lincolnshire Show, in partnership with Age UK Lincoln and South Lincolnshire, St Barnabas Hospice, LACE Housing and Lincolnshire Home Independence Agency as ‘Lincs Independent Living Partnership’ {LILP}

The five organisations provided a support hub for Lincolnshire Show attendees to learn more about their combined services that could dramatically improve independent living and living with a life limiting illness.

Families and friends of anyone with Dementia were given the chance to join Dementia Friends sessions. These short sessions are designed to educate people around Dementia and encourage Dementia friendly communities.

The team also demonstrated the latest ‘assistive technology products’, which promote independence and safety for Dementia patients, as well as our low level support services, living well with Dementia and specialist housing that is available in Lincolnshire.

Bev Chapman, Business Development Officer said;

“It was a very worthwhile promotional exercise for us and we made connections with several different organisations from across Lincolnshire.

“These included the Admiral Nurses, who are new to Lincolnshire and deliver specialist dementia support, Lincolnshire Partnership Trust regarding mental health within children and adolescents, and also a contact to get in touch with their specialist older adult’s nurse.

“We also made contact with the Alzheimer’s Society, who had a few people they wanted to refer for equipment and our wellbeing service.

“A few sons/daughters also made enquiries with us and took literature for their parents – both on equipment and dementia services.”

The eagle-eyed amongst you may have even spotted our stand on BBC Look North’s Wednesday evening show, as the weather forecast took place from directly opposite our location.
