Working Together with Fortem to Create Warmer, Greener Homes

We’ve recently awarded a major contract to Fortem, a property maintenance contractor, to help us make over 1200 homes across the region warmer, greener, and more energy efficient.

Thanks to funding from the government’s Warm Homes programme, the project will help bring every home up to an EPC Band C rating, meaning better insulation, lower energy bills, and a more comfortable living environment for our customers.

The works follow nearly £18 million already invested over the past year to improve energy efficiency through our Green Homes Upgrade project. The work with Fortem will include:

  • Insulation for walls, lofts, and floors
  • Solar panels to generate clean energy
  • Air source heat pumps to heat homes more efficiently

These upgrades are designed to reduce carbon emissions and help customers save money on heating and electricity.

Danny Wyer, Corporate Head of Asset Management at LHP said:

“This new contract with Fortem will enable us to deliver high-quality improvements at scale, creating homes that are more energy efficient, while improving the comfort of homes and the wellbeing of our customers.

“It’s another key milestone in our long-term ‘Great Homes and Strong Communities’ strategy, reinforcing our commitment to providing safe, sustainable housing across Lincolnshire – now and for the future.

We’ve been working with Fortem since 2023 on a long-term plan to improve thousands of homes, including new kitchens, bathrooms, and roofs. This latest project is another big step forward in ensuring our customers have homes that they can really be proud of.
