Partnership action secures closure of three Grimsby properties

Three properties in the West Marsh area of Grimsby have been closed following successful partnership work between Lincolnshire Housing Partnership and Humberside Police to tackle serious anti-social behaviour and criminal activity affecting the local community.

The closure orders were secured at court following recent Misuse of Drugs Act warrants carried out by police at three properties on Wharfdale Way.

Working alongside Humberside Police, we have now closed and secured all three properties.

We know the impact that persistent anti-social behaviour can have on people living nearby. Everyone should be able to feel safe and comfortable in their home and neighbourhood, and we will take action where tenancy breaches, anti-social behaviour or criminal activity are causing harm to our customers and communities.

This result follows concerns raised by local residents and demonstrates the importance of customers continuing to report issues to us and to the police.

We would like to thank residents for their patience and for sharing information and concerns with us. We hope the action taken provides reassurance and makes a positive difference to the people living in the area.

We will continue working closely with the police and other partners to tackle anti-social behaviour and help make our neighbourhoods safer places to live.
