Want someone to guide you through the process, or we’ve whet your appetite and you’d like to find out more? Then the following helpful people can provide beginners courses as well as useful help and advice.

North East Lincolnshire

Foresight NEL offer a range of digital and computer courses, from how to operate a computer to internet safety.

The Grimsby Institute offers an excellent opportunity for absolute beginners or people with limited ability to gain practical experience using a computer with its Start IT Award which helps build confidence in using a computer independently using Microsoft Office 2007.

Centre4 offer specialist support about Universal Credit enquiries by appointment. Additionally, there are two open PCs that are also WIFI enabled.

North East Lincolnshire Council customer access points in Grimsby and Immingham as we as Cleethorpes Library, Grimsby Central Library, Immingham Library and Waltham Library all offer assisted digital support.

North East Lincolnshire Council home options team can also provide assisted digital support. Please contact them directly to arrange an appointment.

AgeUK offer lessons on a one to one basis. The first taster session is free, with following sessions charged at £5 per hour which includes use of the internet.

If you are a complete beginner they can show you how to use a keyboard and mouse, how to use emails and the internet including social media.

offer a free ITQ Diploma Level 1 to individuals under 19 helping you to develop a range of skills in the IT sector and prepare you for further learning or training.

Boston Library offer two free hours access a day during library opening times.

And our Chantry Lane public office has ten free to use PCs.
