Martin was educated at Boston Grammar School, moved into a short career in accountancy before taking the leap into the world of property maintenance.
Joining Boston Borough Council’s Property Services team as a technician in 1995, over the last 23 years, Martin has gained experience of managing a portfolio of social housing stock, major refurbishments to non-traditional stock types and establishing and delivering a growth programme for Boston Mayflower.
In 2002, Martin obtained a degree in Building Surveying from Nottingham Trent University and in 2009 took up the position of Head of Property Services for Boston Mayflower designing and implementing a strategy that delivered Decent Homes compliance, accurate investment planning and a significant improvement to the energy efficiency of the stock. His current position with LHP as Head of Asset Management draws on this experience.
Outside of work Martin takes a keen interest in occasionally playing football but mainly watching his two sons who both play for local Boston teams. Otherwise, Martin can be found walking his dog or carrying out various building projects at home.
